| Newdak was developed at North Dakota State University and co-released by the North Dakota and Cornell Agricultural Experiment Station(s). The leaf margins and sheath are glabrous. | Ogle is a high yielding, widely adapted, early maturing oat with excellent resistance to lodging and Barley Yellow Dwarf Virus. Ogle matures in 111 days. Kernels of Ogle are yellow, slender and tapered at the tips - the primary kernel often has a prominent 1-3 cm. long awn, which separates from the kernel during threshing, but the point of attachment remains visible.
