Field Services - Identity Preserved Program

Identity Preserved Logo This program provides a uniform and unbiased quality control system and marketing tool for grain with special traits or higher value. It is an official AOSCA program designed to offer the same certified service to grain and to differentiate the unique traits from the commodity grain. The program includes field inspection, bin testing, lab testing, and labeling with a Identity Preserved logo. The program can be customized to fit the needs of the customer or the product inspected.

The IP inspection service can be used for unique traits developed through biotechnology or as a way to differentiate conventional developed grain from that which was developed through the use of biotechnology. A current application of this program is the segregation of Non-GMO corn and soybeans from other contamination.

The IP program offers

  1. Official unbiased field inspections
  2. A mechanism to identify and isolate contamination in the field
  3. An unbiased record system for documenting grain quantity
  4. Bin inspections to verify no contamination from storage facilities
  5. Lab testing to verify contamination levels
  6. Point of transfer inspections to monitor the product completely through to point of shipment or processing
  7. An inspection service for production outside regional locations
  8. Field and lab analysis based on genetic and physical plant characteristics
  9. An official verification of genetic purity
Some flexibility is allowed in the IP program to fit different traits or end uses.
